Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. We can’t tell you how much your support means to us; not just for our film, but for the purpose of diversity in cinema.
As you know, representation in cinema has come a long way in recent years, but it still has a long way to go. This is one of the main motivating factors behind the making of Tea With Milk: to create a film with a cast and crew representing all parts of the world.
Funds raised for this film will cover all costs of production, from pre-production to post, however most of the donations will go towards world building. We aim to be as authentic as possible. After all, this film is a period piece, set in Las Vegas, during the conservative 80s: a decade of big hair, big phones, pastel suits, Cabbage Patch Kids, Rubik’s cubes, shoulder pads and Pac-Man. Regan was in charge and Vegas was as taboo as it could get. We want to pay homage to the decade that made us.
This film is also a labor of love; a deeply personal story inspired from true events experienced by our writer/director, Rana Roy. Because the best stories are always the most personal ones, we are confident we can deliver something special for you all.
