Help Luke

Hello everybody, I am trying to raise funds to help my friend, Luke, who recently had a freak slip n’ fall accident while walking his dog on a rainy day and broke his ankle in several places.

Earlier this year he left his previous job looking for better opportunities and lost his health coverage in the shuffle. He currently has a job and it’s been going great. His new health insurance was going to kick in January 2018. Literally, just a few days from being covered but now he’s stuck in some weird limbo where doctors and serguons want to help but with lack of coverage they’re left with few options and he might have to pay out of pocket to get the best treatmeant. He works in a popular restaurant in NYC and there is no way he can work with a broken ankle.

Between rent, regular bills, and taking care of his dog, money is disappearing fast with no income in sight. Add the cost of medical bills and we all know he will be dealing with this for next several years.

When I moved back to NYC, Luke, and his friend, received me with open arms despite being a complete stranger. They helped me get a job and added me to a group text where we all still talk today. They never stopped inviting me to come out for bbq’s, beer, and, bike rides. I’ve seen Luke take money out of pocket to help friends when they were low.

I’ve been stranded on a bike ride with 0$ because I forgot to deposit my paycheck. I called Luke and asked him if he could transfer me money because I didn’t have access to it 40 miles from home. 2 minutes later, 100$ in my account.

Help me return the favor! Let’s keep Luke afloat while he deals with broken bones and lack of funds for the next several months.
