Helping Rebuild Compañeros and the Dorset House
Compañeros and Dorset House were lost to a fire in September 2014. Having been past employees and now new owners, we are rebuilding with plans to open this spring. Returning to our roots, we understand the uniqueness of this vacation destination and the memories that these restaurants hold. We are hopeful that we can recreate the energetic, fun atmospheres and delicious food the restaurants have been famous for. We are excited to reestablish the generations of family traditions the Kempnichs had spent their lifetime achieving and carry on the legacy for all who enjoy the area.
The day the fire destroyed Compañeros and Dorset House changed this community’s life. It was a devastating day, as we not only lost buildings, but also a part of our story and our history. We are excited to be given the opportunity to begin this story again!
Please consider helping us rebuild Compañeros and Dorset House and the opportunity to create new and lasting memories. In appreciation of your donation we would like to share with you some “recuerdos” or mementos. Also we would also love to hear YOUR Compañeros and/or Dorset House memories. Please share them with us in the comments or on our Facebook page.
