Kim's (Rainy) Breast Cancer Fight

Donation protected
As many of you know, Kim was diagnosed with breast cancer back in July.  While it was an emotional and devastating blow for Kim, she was determined to maintain a positive outlook and get through her treatment with minimal life disruptions.  Unfortunately, that has not turned out to be the case.  Each chemo treatment has been harder and harder for her, and making her sicker and sicker.  She is now missing a week plus worth of work after each treatment.  As Kim only started working for her current company back in April, she has already exhausted all of her accrued sick and vacation time, and is now facing extreme financial hardship.  On top of the continually mounting medical bills and copays that have been rolling in each month, Kim is now struggling to cover her basic life expenses; like rent, car, gas, utilities, etc.  The last thing I want to see is for Kim to become homeless and car-less due to this horrible situation.
What many of you may not know is that Kim actually did become homeless about 6 years ago.  She became one of the countless individuals that were impacted when the mortgage lending industry imploded several years back.  What made it worse was that this is the very industry Kim had worked in, being a mortgage lending professional for 10+ years.  Kim was laid off from her job, and continuously failed in her attempts to find new work, as mortgage companies at the time were laying off workers and even closing their doors entirely, left and right.  Kim fought the good fight as long as she could, even taking jobs at AM/PM and Walmart to try and make ends meet, but in the end, it still wasn’t enough, and she lost her home to foreclosure.  Rather than let this painful moment in her life take her down and destroy her, Kim made the decision to go back to school in 2012, where she earned degrees in Accounting and Supply Chain Mgmt.  Kim has spent the past 6-7 years rebuilding her life after having so much taken from her, and in 2015 was finally able to get her own place and continue her rebuilding efforts.

This is why I decided to launch this Go Fund Me Campaign on behalf of Kim.  Kim has come too far and overcome too many obstacles to have it all taken away from her due to this horrible disease known as cancer.

Please join me in helping Kim get through this tough time, and providing her with a much needed and much deserved helping hand.

Much love ~ Stephanie
