Wednesday  December 5th, The museum lost another member of its family.

For the last 10 years George Hampton seemed to somehow touch nearly every person in the museum.

George was a friend to everyone. He always wore a smile as he greeted the museum staff. Although George was a proud member of the custodial department; he was also the Security officer in brown, as he would always be nearby to assist the Security officers.

Though his size might have been off putting to some he quickly would dispel any uneasiness felt with his warm and friendly demeanor. Each and every morning George would walk into the custodial "shop" saying good morning, and then he would shake the hand of each of his coworkers. George did this each and everyday.

Those that knew George knew of his passion for college sports and fishing, however Georges' biggest passion was his children. George was such an amazing and dedicated father. If there was ever a father of the year around the rest of us would compete for second place as George would win every year hands down.

George leaves behind his 4 children ranging in age from 9 - 17. This fund is to help the kids in any way necessary.

His sudden loss has deeply shaken us all. Let us find solace in each other with the knowledge that George is in a much better place.

Rest In Peace my Brother!

You are loved and missed.
