Please Help Amber

On October 20, 2018, Pike County Humane Society in Shohola Pennsylvania received an urgent call about an emaciated dog, found locally, lingering on a nearby township road. This sweet young girl, we’ve named Amber, could not have survived much longer had a Good Samaritan not contacted us. Amber was immediately rushed to Creature Comforts Emergency Vet in Saylorsburg PA, where she is in critical condition on this night.
Veterinarians quickly assessed Amber, which included X-rays, bloodwork and IV fluids. Amber is in such a deteriorating condition, and did not get this way overnight... she is receiving around the clock care.
Testing positive for High Lyme, Anemia and her kidneys are poorly functioning. Her weight is 27.5 pounds and she should be at least at 60 pounds to be a healthy weight for her tender age of about 5 years old.
We are asking, pleading for your help, for Amber in her most critical time of need.
