#CARSONSTRONG

Carson was born February 11 in Boston,he was born at 36 weeks with Cardiomyopathy. At 4 weeks old he was listed for a heart transplant. At 8 weeks old he had open heart surgery to have a VAD put in on his left side to get him to transplant. On the way back from the OR his right ventricle stopped working and he ended up getting put on ecmo. He was scheduled to go back to the OR the following Thursday and we got the call that they had a heart for him that morning. He was recovering well and this week presented with an infection. They now have it under control and hopefully he is on the mend now.. His heart wasn't very strong. April 19 Carson received a heart. This little guy is a fighter! He is so amazing and strong willed and very feisty. Mom stays with him most of the time, travels home weekly to spend time with husband and 10 year old son. Medical bills are starting to come in. As we all know Insurance doesn't cover it all. The decision to start this page was tough. The amount needed is truly unpredictable. We appreciate everything everyone is doing, the prayers, the fundraising events, the continued and overwhelming  emotional support, all the love we have been blessed with. Thank you!
