Mic Check, Cash, or Card!

Effective January 1, 2020, the George Frey Center for Performing Arts at the Fair Lawn Community Center will provide a maximum of twelve wireless body microphones for use during its productions. As the resident theater company, Old Library Theatre will be directly impacted by this policy. Since many of our productions feature more than twelve performers, and mic switches will no longer be allowed, we'd like to purchase additional microphones for use in future OLT productions. The Sennheiser Wireless Lavalier Microphones compatible with the theater's sound board cost $500 a piece. 

As a self-funded, nonprofit community theater, we rely solely on ticket/concession/ad sales and donations for funding. We don't wish to further raise ticket prices to fund this initiative, so we're asking for your support! If you've enjoyed OLT's productions over the years, consider making a donation before April 1, 2020 - so we can have additional microphones on hand for our April Youth Production of Willy Wonka, Jr.! Your support will ensure we continue to offer the highest quality productions - highlighting all of our valued performers in performances everyone can hear! - at an affordable cost. 

Old Library Theatre (OLT), Fair Lawn Recreation Department’s resident theatre company, is a community theatre organization located in Bergen County, NJ. OLT was founded in 1967 in Fair Lawn by a handful of dreamers who wanted to make the joy of theatre performance available to everyone. The original theatre was on River Road, but the company relocated to the George Frey Center for Performing Arts in the Fair Lawn Community Center in 2006. Our mission is to provide quality entertainment in Bergen County, showcasing talented performers of all ages, shapes, sizes, ethnicities, and stages of development. We will kick off our 53rd season in 2020!
