Help April Fight Breast Cancer!

April is the young single mother of 11 year old Caleb. Before Christmas, April was suddenly struck with some serious medical problems, including severe pain in her back and leg. A series of tests and scans have revealed the devastating diagnosis of Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer involving her bone marrow. 

April has always been an extremely hard worker, and many of her co-workers at SHMG Orthopedics have stood in awe of her abilities to multi-task and always meet the needs of the patient in the past seven years in the practice, during her various roles. As a Surgery Scheduler, she has used her compassion to help patients through difficult and frightening times. She has been a friend, colleague and family member to all those who work beside her; whether it's walking into your office to spur up an impromptu dance party on a bad day or just lifting your spirits if you're not the dancing type. She is a fierce friend to have in your corner. Always strong, independent, and a self-sufficient woman, she now needs our help. The costs of fighting cancer are overwhelming, especially when you cannot work as you fight the battle.
