Bring Lady Tigers to Chicago

Please help me raise money to bring the Lady Tigers Softball Team of New York to Chicago. As the Chicago Fireworks 12u Travel Fastpitch head coach I love exposing my girls to positive female role models. We have been so lucky! We attended Chicago Bandits games, met the players, attended their instructional clinics and even have the had chance to meet their coach and play in their stadium. I also try to find a way to give back to the less fortunate and help others in our softball community. . This year we are attempting to do both those things with one softball game!
The Lady Bandits of New York are an inner city middle school softball team from the South Bronx. They have a head coach, Coach Astacio, who has dedicated himself to these middle school girls. His goal is to expose these young ladies to opportunities beyond their everyday circumstances of inner city poverty, crime, drugs, hardships and a concrete softball field. With zero resources this coach set out to make a difference in these young ladies lives. Last year he raised enough money to take his girls to Florida to see a college softball game. This year we would love to host his team here in Chicago.
I learned about this team when I stumbled upon their Facebook page. The girls each posted their pictures and individual stories. The impact this coach has had on them is incredible. Most of the girls experience real struggles. Almost all lack a father in their lives. With this team they found discipline, acceptance, and love. These ladies pulled at my heartstrings. While I grew up far from the South Bronx, I can relate a bit. I grew up without a father in my life. As a young athlete I played 100s of games and never once looked to the stands to see my dad's face. I too, was lucky enough to have a coach who supported my dreams and teammates that were like family.
It is my goal to work with Coach Astacio and bring this team to our great city of Chicago to host an exhibition double header with my Chicago Fireworks at Bandits Stadium in April. They will so appreciate and deserve to see their face on the scoreboard, hear their name announced and be cheered on by some hometown fans. Please help me get these girls to Chicago! Please come out and cheer them on at Bandits Stadium in Rosemont in April.
If you have a child that is lucky enough to see your face in the stands, please give to those who are not as fortunate. Together I believe we can make a real difference in their lives.
