My husband Henry , had a massive stroke on Aug. 27, 2017. One fourth of his brain has swelled and his heart is only 25% strong. He was confined in Pali Momi until Sept. 10 and was transferred to Ka Punawai Ola on Sept 11.His left side is completely paralized. He is on tube feeding.
His Medicare insurance covered only 20 days for the room and board..and after that I need to pay 120.00 a day for room and board for 32 days...After 32 days ..the Medicare insurance will be activated again. But for now ,
I do not have the funds to pay so he can continue his therapy at Ka Punawai Ola. He needs to continue his therapy so he can go back on his feet and be able to enjoy a better quality of life. This is very urgent bec. the end of the month is fast approaching and we need to pay the $120.00 a day beginning Oct .01, 2017.
