On the morning of August 20th 2017, Joey Meiklejohn, 40, was struck and killed by a vehicle while walking alongside of his two children, Madalyn, 12, and Dozer, 10, to go fishing at a creek by their home in Denton Maryland.
The children also lost their Mother, Rebecca Fountain, to breast cancer almost three years ago.
We are asking fellow neighbors, families, friends, strangers near and far to donate in the names of these children.
Everything raised will go to Joey's sister, Staci Meiklejohn, (aunt of the childern) for these two sweet children. It will help them with everyday expenses, school funds, and the unexplainable transition to a life without either parent.
Imagine not having your mother and father at such a young age. It's not going to be easy for them but maybe taking some financial stress off will help with healing.
