This is a story of children that are close to my heart, so I am asking you sincerely to read this story and do what the Lord touches your heart to do.
Ruth is a young orphan my Mama has been sponsoring to go to school for the last few years, and my Dad has begun sponsoring her brother, Rick. Although I am not certain how their father died, their mother was a native medical missionary who, when being thought to be too much competition for the witch doctor, was poisoned by him. Now Ruth is an orphan, but she has a dream to carry on the work her mother began...
Jeremiah is a young boy I have been sponsoring. He loves farming, planting, and agriculture. Each child has a story and a dream.
There are 500 children at this orphanage.
I want you to know that these are children being taught to love and serve others, even though they are in such great need. There is one well that God has provided for them to have water to drink. They also have land for gardens, but right now it is too dry for them to grow food. They desperately need money to buy food for the children at this time. Each child costs only $20/month to feed. The young man who heads this orphanage has a young wife and baby. They share every meal with the orphans they are caring for, but now they also have nothing.
So I am asking that you will let God use you to pull them through this crucial time, that they may live and accomplish the work He has for them. Whatever amount you give will be appreciated deeply.
