So in case you guys didn't know my brother is apart of the US Army as well as my baby sister. My goal was to be an Armed Protective Officer. This is my way of serving. Recently, I signed a tentative contract with a company and was going through the hiring process. Everything was good and going smoothly until everything with flying colors. But one issue., the vision in my right turned out to be 60/20 vision, in case you guys don't know, that is terrible. She then tells me that even with glasses or contacts it's not able to be corrected without surgery which then is considered uncorrected vision aka I could not pass my vision test with my right eye. With this company you must be able to see 20/20 corrected vision meaning if you need glasses or contacts that's fine as long as it's good vision. I was devastated after hearing this news. I had this job sealed and in the bag until this one problem. To be kicked out of a program because of something you have no control over is ravaging. I was broken. My dream job was taken away from me because of a birth defect. Mind you, doctors in the past said that it didn't need to be removed because it never grew but now it is holding me back from achieving my goals. Some of you guys may or may not understand this pain but I would greatly appreciate any type of donation for this surgery so I can have 20/20 vision in my right eye. I understand God has a reason for everything in our paths but never did he say to not fight for what you want in life. This however is truly a humbling moment in my life. Thank you.
