Prince Rupert/Canada Family and friends!

Never thought I'd be writing one of these so please bear with me. If you grew up in Prince Rupert you would recognize our father Bruce Rempel as the goofy (embarrassing) 'Mr. Bean' that would come around every year to take our school photos (before the takeover of digital world) taking care of all your camera and photo needs for a lifetime at Shutter Shack. Upon retiring from the Shack instead of getting a bit of down time in life our father was diagnosed with Cancer. His first removal after a long operation was successful but he had to endure many months of chemotherapy and radiation afterwards.

Unfortunately, a few years down the line the cancer has returned, and our father just had three tumours removed from his neck. Because of the severity of what they found he has had to return down south immediately to start 3 months of intense chemotherapy and radiation yet again, as well as dental surgery because the radiation will affect his teeth in areas.

During this time, our father will be staying in Vancouver in the designated cancer accommodations but unfortunately these don't come cheap. My sisters and I would like to try to raise some funds to help lessen the burden so he doesn't have to worry financially on top of everything else and can focus on fighting this cancer and getting better.

Three months accommodation will cost him approximately $5000 - $10,000, which does include some meals. We would like to try to raise five to ten thousand to try to support him at this time.

Our father has been somewhat of a pillar of our community to some with long standing involvement in the

Knights of Columbus, the Legion and his help with the senior citizens of the community of Prince Rupert.

We are aware these are very hard times with the state of the world, but any little bit helps, and would be much appreciated.
