Bringing Ohana Home

Donation protected

Earlier this year, end of March 2017, Traci and Ron moved their family from Hawaii to Virginia for an opportunity of a new and exciting beginning for them.

Sadly, it has not been what they expected and so far their family have been through an emotional roller coaster ride, of a series of unfortunate events.  Which now has them needing to leave where they are at now, to keep the family safe. However, where they are going is only a temporary solution for them and they would like to bring the family back home to Hawaii.

They have no family to fall back on in Virginia and they have not been there long enough to establish the kind of friendship that would be comfortable enough to ask for the kind of help they need.

Traci, Ron and daughters were, or rather are, those good friends, you go to for help like this.  For many years, they have given so freely to those in need. Whether it was to family, friends or charity, each gave with their hearts, gifts of time, money, and companionship, NEVER expecting in return.  They've hosted get togethers, made sure people were fed and always remembered everyone during special occasions, holidays and birthdays.  They always made everyone feel welcomed and loved. If you were in the hospital, they were there to support physically, spiritually and at times financially. If you needed a friend just to listen to you, they were there.  If you needed help to move, they were there.  Fundraisers, they were there to promote, volunteer and support it.

Now, the tables are turned and they need help in a big way and they need somebody there for them.  We've of course come together as much as we can, but we are hoping to raise a little more.

As I mentioned earlier, they don't have family to fall back on in the states and their stay there has been so short they have not had enough time to build up their nest egg again.

With what looked like a promising opportunity ahead of them, they let go of the house they were renting here, gave away their pets and sold or gave away all the big and significant items like cars, furniture and household items and only took with them important memorabilia and clothes.

They need additional help with obtaining their flight tickets home and to ship boxes back home here via USPS.  Someone is providing them a place to stay back home here in Hawaii, but that is of course another temporary situation.  Traci and Ron will have to secure new jobs when they get back home here, but with the kind of hustle they both possess, as well as experience, that shouldn't take too long.  However we were hoping to raise some extra to help them along in the process of starting over.

Any and all support is a blessing and is greatly appreciated. Every little bit helps.
