Debbie's needs our help....

Donation protected
Debbie is a 46 years young woman who two weeks ago suddenly suffered a massive stroke due to an aneurysm. It was a huge shock to all her friends and family but and mostly to her loving husband, Graeme and two teenage children, Ollie and Ella who absolutely adore her. We are raising money to help Graeme and the family provide the type of items and changes that Debbie will need once she is out of hospital and on the way to recovering. She is 46, fit and healthy, eats well and doesn't smoke; it just goes to show it can happen to anybody.  She is still in the stroke unit rehabilitation centre at present and is having intensive treatment and physiotherapy. Debbie is a huge animal lover, especially Hedgehogs. Graeme has built many hog houses which are scattered around her beautiful cottage garden, which is simply stunning and for which she takes immense pride in. Many hours are spent by the family in the garden. Debbie feeds and nurtures these hogs through the summer/autumn so they can go into hibernation fat and happy.  Her first love after her family is Needle Felting for which she is world class.  Debbie is incredibly humble and doesn't realise quite how amazing she is.  She won overall first prize at the Dorset County Show with her needle felted Lion head which stands over a metre tall. Debbie's famous for her needle felted hares. They have become her sort of trademark and stand over 18" tall and invariably have size 9 feet. Every single one is different and they now live with their careful owners across the county and possible further afield.  As well as needle felting, Debbie is an amazing artist; she paints, draws, sculpts, sews and can turn her hand to almost anything. This is why we needs to raise money to keep Debbie focused on the things which will keep her going and give her a purpose to get better. Her and her family's lives will never be the same again. To make the life she will have easier we are hoping to raise money for the things that the NHS and government can't help out with, these things include making her front door which has steps up to it wheelchair accessible, Possible  installation of a stair lift, widening of doorways to make moving around the house possible. The list goes on and on.... Even if you can only spare a couple of pounds, it will make such a difference to this special lady and her family. xxxx
