For Cole..............

Chesaning High School student, Cole Folkes, was diagnosed with end stage renal failure at twenty weeks. His first surgery was before he was even born and focused on saving his lungs, even though his kidneys were already useless. When Cole was born he was flown immediately to Detroit Children’s Hospital where he stayed for three months and then after to University of Michigan Ann Arbor. He had to be on dialysis until he was a year old, but on December 3rd, 2001 he received a kidney from his father. In the past sixteen years Cole has had fifty-one surgeries due to complications with his transplant or other illnesses. He has been in rejection since last January and has had to have dialysis three days a week. Cole will need a new kidney within the next few months. His family is currently being tested to see if there is a match. Cole is an amazing son, friend and student.
Cole loves the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He enjoys playing guitar and singing. His dream is to one day be a charter captain on the Saginaw Bay.
Let’s all help Cole and Cole’s family make his dreams come true by assisting them with a donation today. Medical bills and countless trips to Ann Arbor have taken their toll. As a CHS family we would love to give them some relief so they can focus on helping Cole.
