This is my GoFundMe for my upcoming DTS and Outreach in Tijuana, Mexico!
Please prayerfully consider supporting me on this endeavor that I feel the Lord is leading me through.
A door was very recently opened for me to attend a five-month program abroad with the organization, Youth With a Mission. Their programs equip students in areas in which they are gifted, while also teaching about the attributes of God and international missions work. Specifically, my program will be a Photo-Journalism DTS (Discipleship Training School) in Tijuana, Mexico. The photography aspect teaches valuable skills in using photography and storytelling to communicate, to advocate on behalf of others, and to use social media as a tool for His kingdom.
However, alongside photography, the first three months of the program (the lecture phase) will primarily be focused on studying the Word of God. Themes we’ll discuss include: Co-creating with God/developing your Identity as an Artist; God’s Nature & Character; God’s Intention for Individuals, People, and Creation; God’s Redemption; God’s Family: His Children & His Church; and Our Response to God: Knowing God, Making Him Known. During this phase, all of my courses will be in both Spanish and English, I will be reading through the entire New Testament and a portion of the Old Testament, and I will be gaining 12 college credits through the University of Nations.
These credits are transferable to other accredited institutions.
In the remaining two months, I will be sent to another country to apply what I have learned. I’ll be using my gifts to serve and impact small local communities. Students earn an additional 8 college credits during the outreach portion.
