Asking for financial help is the hardest thing to do.
Many of you have asked what we need or you have stated, “let us know if you need anything”. I would say financial help is our huge priority need. I know that is not possible for all of you but anything will help greatly!
As I am not allowed to go into great detail, many of you are aware of what we’re going through. A situation arose around the 1st of September which required immediate legal action. Although we had a small emergency fund, we were not expecting this type of an expense.
My daughter was a weekend away from school starting in the city I live in, orientation had already happened, teachers were met, excitement for a new school year, and a fresh start was in the air! That weekend, a decision was made without my knowledge, consent, communication, or even an explanation. My child was pulled to the city where her mother lives and enrolled at a different school. Over the past several years of difficulties, significant changes to better her living situation were made verbally between parents. So in a calculated move, an old court order was used to tie my hands and leave me with only the option of an emergency legal response.
We must defend the people and the situations that we feel need defending.
We are in the thick of the process right now and although we knew this day was probably coming, we did not calculate and were not prepared for the extreme immediate expense.
