I am fundraising for Lifeline Australia because I wish to create more awareness around Mental Health and some of the current statistics and numbers around suicide that aren't being spoken about enough.
- Did you know every 30 seconds someone from Australia reaches out to Lifeline for crisis help?
- Since Covid started NSW has had 1053 deaths due to suicide
- NSW recorded 444 deaths alone from suicide only in the first half of this year.
The 24hr/7day a week service that is Lifeline exists to ensure that no person in Australia has to face their darkest moments alone, which is why I have chosen it to raise funds for.
Over the next 30 Days beginning 27th of September my mission is to cover 24kms Every Day to raise funds to support the incredible work and service that is LifeLine Australia. These 24km's will be broken up and split into different combinations between running, swimming and ergs.
1km for every Hour Lifeline is in operation per day and 30 days to highlight that every 30 seconds someone within Australia calls Lifeline for crisis help.
