Cooper's surgery fund

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Mark, and the cutie in the picture with me is Cooper. On August 22nd, I took Cooper in for a routine checkup at the vet. I was pleased to hear that the veterinarian thought he was in great shape for his age. But that moment of pride was cut short when I received the news that she had found a suspicious lump on his anal gland during his rectal examination. A tissue sample was taken and sent to the lab and few days later I received the results. Cooper had cancer. He was diagnosed with endocarcinoma. The vet told me she thinks we caught it early and that a simple surgery should be all it takes to hopefully be rid of it. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. After a few days and a couple thousand dollars worth of tests, it was discovered that the cancer had spread to two of the lymph nodes in his abdomen. With that the cost of the surgery tripled, and the hope of ridding his body of cancer was dashed. After talking extensively with the vet about the options, we had settled on a surgical procedure to remove the carcinoma and the lymph nodes in his abdomen. With this surgery the vet believes that Cooper can live another 2 or 3 healthy years. 2 years seems like a miracle to me. I'm absolutly ready to do everything possible to fight for that time. Cooper has been an anchor for me for the last 10 years. He was there to help me through my own cancer. He is a pro at calming me down during anxiety attacks, so much so that my therapist had him registered as my emotional support animal. My life has been enriched, so full of love and happiness because of this little dog. I've been preparing myself for the day that his time will come, but now is too soon. I want more time with my happy playful puppy. Asking for help is not something that I can do easily, but for Cooper I'm here asking for help from whoever is reading this. I know times are hard for everyone, so if donating is not an option for you, I would be extremely grateful if you just share this to your social media account so that more people can see it.
Please know that I have no desire to watch my best friend suffer. The veterinarian assured me that when she says 2 or 3 more healthy years she means it. We could prolong it longer with chemo therapy, but I have no plans to do so. I just want to hold on to the playful, happy Cooper I have right now. If it comes to that, or when the time comes, I will let go and do the right thing.
Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this and for any help anyone is able to give.
