Barely reaching 5% of students, The Black community at the University of San Francisco is unarguably underrepresented. In acknowledging this we decided to organize a fund for the Black Student Union on our campus. It is essential to support Black students and to acknowledge their historical roles in igniting change on campuses which inherently better experiences for all students and faculty.
The Black Student Union is more than a social organization but instead an organization that enacts social change while serving as an incubator of consciousness. Our organization strives to support Black students with both academic and non-academic hardships. We also support our Black faculty and staff in advocating for their needs.
We understand that students fall upon unprecedented times and we hope to support them in more ways than we have been able to before. Please consider donating to improve Black student life and experiences at USFCA.
Funds will be allocated into the Black Student Union Account and be used to help with programming and BSU signature events to help benefit Black Life on Campus. Funds will also be allocated to directly support Black students in ways we have never done before.
We appreciate all who have donated. Your donations go far beyond financial assistance but also contribute to the retention and growth of the Black community in our campus. Any amount helps!
