Staten Island Women Who March  (SIWWM) Letter Writing Fundraiser:
SIWWM Moves CD11 Forward!

Help us reach our goal of mailing 20,000 letters to Staten Island Voters!

With so much at stake and less than 2 months until the critical Midterm Elections, we need all hands on deck to work together for the last big push to ensure Voters show up to the polls on November 6.

SIWWM's efforts to reach out to Voters on Staten Island have contributed to record turnout numbers at our recent State primary.

As Election Day 2018 approaches, SIWWM needs YOU!

Research shows that personalized letters targeted to voters can encourage them to show up to vote as much as canvassing. CD11 has joined the Vote Forward portfolio of districts to help flip our district blue with their personalized letter writing technique.

In Alabama in 2017, targeted letters to voters increased turnout by 3.9% compared to voters who didn't receive letters. This effort can turn an election!

The cost to send 100 letters is approximately $65.00. That means for the cost of a typical dinner and a movie night you can help reach 100 voters.

About SIWWM

Staten Island Women who March is a progressive, not-for-profit group which aims to lift the voices of women all over Staten Island through engaged citizenry and social action. We respond with compassion and solidarity to those in our community who are most vulnerable, oppressed or marginalized, both historically and in the events unfolding in real time throughout the country and community.

Our coalition of women on Staten Island was born from the Women's March but now has taken a shift to improve upon and focus on the of idea intersectionality of women of Staten Island, specifically those women of the North Shore who voices have been drowned out by the loudest voices on the Island.

SIWWM’s explicitly progressive agenda has mobilized a deep well of response from women in diverse communities across Staten Island who desire civic engagement and change that reflects compassion, reform, and forward-thinking policy. Through an action-driven and intersectional lens, SIWWM has become a source for diverse women’s voices.

The members of SIWWM experience and encourage ownership and model civic duty through a  process of dialogue, continuous learning, and collaboration with diverse groups across Staten Island who share progressive outlooks and a commitment to women’s issues. We are confident that educating, engaging, empowering, inspiring and elevating women’s political capabilities will result in measurably greater civic engagement across the borough and throughout our city and state.https://www.siwomenwhomarch.org/
