Subject: USA Bobsled and Skeleton Rookie Camp

On behalf of the USA Bobsled and Skeleton Federation, I would like to formally invite you to a rookie training camp in Lake Placid, NY.

We feel you have what it takes as an athlete to represent the red white and blue.

This training camp would be the first step towards your Olympic dreams. I am certain you will find this training camp highly competitive, exciting, intense and a great deal of fun experiencing the sport of bobsled or skeleton.

As a 22 year old,  I Placed in the top 3 at the
rookie camp to move on to Team Trials.  To only a tenth of a second difference. That meant I would get to stay and train with the current USA bobsled athletes in Lake Placid.

With your Help, I will train and travel to compete for medals in various races that would determine what teams I could end up on. There's the **North American Circuit  which is **like JV. Then there's **the World Cup Team (varsity) and the **Olympic Team (on another level). Which I am striving for.

Because this sport requires lots of  practice and competition before 2022. I will need expenses covering: Flights, travel, Lodging, coaching  and Entrance fees.   I’ve come this far in my Quest for the Gold 2022. I’ve taken the first step with Expenses for the Combine in Utah, Expenses as well, to advance to the Rookie Camp in Lacke Placid NY,  with all that I had to give. I worked two jobs and trained and saved everything. Now that I’ve been offered the opportunity to advance, With team trials lasting for months to come,
I need your help ...  I appreciate and thank you all in advance for your prayers and support ❤️

Former Hempfield and Eastern Michigan sprinter
Jones, a recent EMU graduate, was invited to take part in the USA Bobsled and Skeleton rookie camp at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY

An All-American sprinter, Jones was an All-Mid-American Conference first-team pick after leading the Eagles’ 400-meter relay to a conference title last outdoor season.

During the indoor season she earned first-team All-America honors as she helped lead the distance medley relay to a seven-place finish at the NCAA Championships. She won the 200- and 400-meter dashes at the MAC Championships.

She was a member of Hempfield’s PIAA-winning 400-meter relay as a junior and senior.

Jones said the athletes who advance from the tryouts go to veterans camp in late September, which precedes the team trials.

“I am excited about the experience,” Jones said. “I enjoy learning new things and new methods. I do feel like I sit beside strong competitors but I’m also just as competitive and strong and I believe I have a chance.”
