US FLAG ON TBIRD

The Glendale Chamber Military & Veterans Affairs Committee (MVAC) will host a very special flag-raising ceremony on Sat. Nov. 10, 2018 at Thunderbird Conservation Park in Glendale.
The community is invited to participate in a human chain to carry (hand-over-hand) the flag from the bottom of the mountain to the newly installed flag pole at Arrowhead Point, where it will be permanently displayed as a point of pride for residents and visitors alike. This event coincides with Veterans Day weekend, and pays tribute to those who have served and are serving in the US Armed Services.
Unexpected costs have surfaced that require immediate attention since the event is less than a month away. All moneys collected will go towards this event or the maintenance of the flag and pole being placed on top of Thunderbird mountain.
The MVAC has no budget and relies on the generosity of individuals & organizations who support our Military and Veterans. Any amount of support is greatly appreciated.
