I’m reaching out to seek your help in supporting one of my employees who had to rush to Columbia to care for his son after a terrible accident. When he attempted to return to the United States with his US-born children, he was detained by immigration. They revoked his work visa and held him, along with his wife and both US-born children, in jail. After 10 days, they released him, but they informed him that he was not permitted to return to the UNITED STATES.

Please consider that he was a summer camp instructor for special needs children, and he had a fully furnished apartment and a vehicle. Despite his circumstances, they treated him as a criminal. Reading his text was heartbreaking. Now, he must navigate the challenges of starting his life in Columbia. I’m organizing a fundraiser to assist him in rebuilding his life there.
