Back in 2009, we had just suffered the loss of my Dad, Cianni’s grandpop that she was close to. To help Cianni with her grief, for Christmas, I surprised her and brought her a dog from one of my friends. From that moment on, Cianni and Missy were inseparable. She has had her since Missy was 9 weeks old and Cianni was 6. Missy has been a family member in our lives forever. It’s kind of like, we always thought she would be around. Even as she grew older and we slowly started to see her become a senior dog. She was still our baby.

in 2022 Cianni decided to go far away to Florida for college to become a Veterinarian. Deep down, I was always scared this day would come while she was away. I knew that Cianni would instantly want to come home.

This morning, September 7, 2025, I discovered that Missy passed away in her sleep. Peacefully in her dog bed.

Everyone who knows Cianni and Missy, knows that Cianni had to come home to show Missy the proper love and going away service that Missy rightfully deserves. Missy gave us almost a full 16 years of life. It’s only right we do right by her as she has done by us.

The funds we raise will be going towards a round trip flight to get Cianni home to see Missy before she goes for cremation. It will also cover the cost of the cremation services and an Urn that Cianni picked out.
