US Army Veteran Rudy Winkelman
Donation protected
On December 1st, my Dad, Rudy Winkelman passed away from COVID-19. Rudy was a veteran of the US Army, and drove semi for over 40 years of his life. He was an incredibly generous and hard-working father, brother, partner, friend, and grandfather. Before his passing, Rudy grew up in Hartland, Wisconsin, but lived and worked in Fond du Lac (a city an hour north) during his final years. Hundreds of extended family members, friends, family friends and coworkers mourn his loss.
My father was a huge fan of sports, and spent his time cheering for (and sometimes yelling at) his Packers. He was also a fan of the Cubs, Brewers, and NASCAR. He also enjoyed traveling, spending time outdoors, and traveling. While he loved to drink in his younger years, Rudy remained alcohol-free during the final 31 years of his life. He also taught me much about the values of being generous and kind to your fellow person.
If you are able and willing, please contribute to this memorial fund in lieu of flowers or gifts. Funds will go towards medical bills and funeral costs. Any extra funds will go toward a donation to a veterans charity in his name.
