Ursulines 3.8km Rebel Swim to go Plastic Free

We are swimming the 3.8 Rebel Plunge on Sunday 9th June -https://www.active.com/cork-cork/water-sports/swimming/rebel-plunge-2019
Our journey begins with this fundraising page – we are raising funds to install a water fountain in the school and purchase steel water bottles for all the students and staff in the school.
We will follow this with our bigger plan to ban all single use plastics in time. The aim is to take all steps to minimise waste generation and to maximise recycling.
Above all we want to make everyone who comes through our doors aware of his or her responsibility in this regard and to give effect to the aspirations of our Ursuline Ethos and Philosophy. We can then go forward and show others how they too can contribute to the care of our valuable and unique environment which, without our efforts, is under very serious threat.
