Ursula Smith-Dukes Burial Fund

My family and I are trying to raise money to help with final expenses for my beautiful sister Ursula Smith-Dukes. She fought hard to stay here with us after struggling with renal failure and a somewhat routine surgery that unfortunately suffered serious complications. God called her home to be with him.

Unfortunately, like so many of us Ursula was a struggling single parent of three, she had to make difficult financial decisions in order to provide for her children and she believed there would be time to make final preparations. In fact, Ursula was actually in the process of making the necessary changes to prevent this kind of unfortunate circimstance. Just three weeks prior, she had to go through this experience with Morgan, her daughter, who also lost her father. This is an extremely difficult and unimaginable time for her.

Although our faith gives us comfort that we will make it through these difficult times, my family would appreciate any help that we can get. If you knew Ursula, then you knew that she was the most caring and giving person with a beautiful smile and laugh that was absolutely infectious. She would do anything for you especially when children were involved. She loved kids which is why she was a Nanny for several years and then a special needs bus driver.

Ursula's impact on this world will continue on through three of the most beautiful children anyone could ask for. Urston 22, a senior studying Criminal Justice and plays football at Grand Valley State University. Morgan 16, a sophomore in high school and Tony 10 in elementary school.
