URGENT-WOMEN AND OTHERS IN NEED OF HOUSING SUPPORT

Tax deductible

Global Communication Education & Art’s (GCEA) is a 501C3 Non-Profit Organization. It's mission is to advocate, educate, empower, and train African immigrants and others in-need in the United States. We are committed to bringing change and addressing common issues and unmet needs. Our vision is to create healthy and prosperous communities in the Bay Area and beyond. GCEA’s core values are accountability, diversity, devotion, transparency, and social justice.

For the past five years GCEA has been advocating for the African Resource Center that includes transitional housing for the homeless population and new immigrants in the Bay Area. In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, GCEA has adapted its programs to meet the immediate needs of African Immigrants, African-Americans and others directly impacted by the Health Crisis. Housing support is one of GCEA programs, and housing is an urgent need for the community we serve.

About 75% of GCEA clients are immigrants with language and system barriers, and 15% are African Americans, 10% others: all with urgent needs. GCEA has been housing women and children and families; people experiencing domestic violence, Asylees released from prison/ detention centers, and homeless. With your help, we could place these women and children into housing immediately.

GCEAs goal is to purchase (this Seven-Plex 2-3 bedroom-each) family housing and maintain the property to provide ongoing services for women, children, and new immigrants. GCEA serves families and individuals experiencing homelessness: victims of violence, economic distress, addiction,  new asylum seekers and refugees.

GCEA also offers wrap-around services to our clients that include: individual counseling, legal support services, housing rights, follow-up support for Asylees and Refugees with USCIS cases, court appearances and doctor's visits, youth and family education, advocacy, social services and health coverage (Medical, Medicare, Cover California) Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants, employment applications, food access, and other resources... along with the connection to housing. Housing is a priority need, not affordable to rent and very limited low income housing.

Please be part of the action by volunteering with GCEA services and programs!
