<div>**URGENTE — SU AYUDA NECESARIA PARA APOYAR A CHRISTA MERTINS**
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hoy escribo como hija.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Y yo pienso algo muy sencillo:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>**NECESITAMOS AYUDA INMEDIATA PARA:**
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div>• Conseguir personas que puedan ayudar físicamente a empacar.
</div>
<div>• Cajas para empacar sus pertenencias.
</div>
<div>• Tape/cinta de empaque y marcadores Sharpie.
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>**TODO AYUDA. Y AHORA MISMO, CADA HORA CUENTA.**
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>**Hoy Christa Mertins, mi mama, los necesita.**
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Mamá, espero que así sea.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Por favor, ayúdennos.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>MUY URGENTE, PORFAVOR!!! SOS.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>**DONEN. COMPARTAN. **
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Por mi mama, Christa Mertins
</div>
<div>Por su tranquilidad.
</div>
<div>Por su dignidad.
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>English:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>**URGENT — ONLY 3 DAYS LEFT TO HELP CHRISTA MERTINS**
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Today I write as a daughter.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My mother, **Christa Mertins, is 90 years old** and in three days she must leave the place where she is living.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While the lawyers are intervening and will determine the legally appropriate course of action, that cannot be our priority today.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>**Our priority is to get my mother out of there, to keep her safe, and to recover her belongings.**
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My mother has been practically sleepless for about two months, living through this situation with anguish and clinging to the hope that God will perform a miracle for her.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And I think something very simple:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>**Perhaps the miracle she is waiting for is us.**
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am currently out of the country for work and recovering from my last hospitalization. Not being able to be physically there at this moment, when my mother needs me most, fills me with immense helplessness. That's why I'm reaching out to you.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>**WE NEED IMMEDIATE HELP TO:**
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• Coordinate and pay a moving company.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• Find people who can physically help with packing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• Boxes to pack your belongings.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• Packing tape and Sharpie markers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• Temporarily rent a storage unit where we can keep your things.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• Move your personal belongings and everyday items.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• Secure the necessary funds to do all of this **before the 13th**.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I will be starting a **GoFundMe** for those who can contribute from anywhere using a credit card. I'm also looking for a secure alternative for those who wish to send a direct remittance to help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It doesn't matter if someone can donate a lot or a little. It doesn't matter if what you can contribute is ten boxes, packing tape, a few hours to pack, a vehicle, storage space, or simply sharing this post.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>**EVERY LITTLE HELPS.** And right now, every hour counts.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It deeply pains me to wonder how MY MOM, Christa Mertins, the Lady of Dance, a woman who dedicated her life to cultivating dance, training generations, and contributing to Guatemalan culture, can find herself in such a situation at 90 years old.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That's why I'm also making a public appeal to those who can intervene and help: Mr. Neto Bran, Ministry of Culture and Sports of Guatemala, executives, teachers, dancers, alumni and students of the National Ballet of Guatemala “Christa Mertins,” the artistic community, friends, and all those whose lives have been touched in some way by my mother.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Christa needs you today.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Afterward, there will be time to determine responsibilities and resolve the legal situation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Today we need to protect a 90-year-old woman.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I will also share screenshots of what my own mother wrote on Facebook. For some reason, her post isn't showing up in full. But there's something you can still feel in her words: even at 90 years old, in the midst of this anguish, **she still holds onto the hope that God will send help.**
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Mom, I hope so.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Because throughout your life you sowed so much in others.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>**Now Guatemala has three days to show you that some of those seeds have blossomed.**
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please, help us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>VERY URGENT, PLEASE!!! SOS.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>**DONATE. SHARE. **
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>**There is strength in unity, but we need that unity TODAY.**
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For my mom, Christa Mertins
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For her peace of mind.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For her dignity.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>So that at 90 years old she can finally sleep without feeling insecure of what might happen .
