A tempestade:

derrubou árvores

destruiu cercas

ferragens, parafusos, escadotes e ferramentas

A Casa D’Árvore é:

A tempestade levou árvores e estruturas —

mas não levou a nossa comunidade.

Cada contributo ajuda-nos a reconstruir este lugar

tábua a tábua, telha a telha, passo a passo.

A school, a forest, a community — after the storm

Casa D’Árvore is more than a school.

It is home. It is forest. It is community.

We are a group of parents and educators fundraising to rebuild our children’s school, which was severely damaged by the recent storm in Leiria and Marinha Grande, Portugal.

As a forest school, most learning happens outdoors — where children explore, learn, and grow in deep connection with nature.

Sadly, this was the area most affected by the storm.

What happened

uprooted trees

destroyed fences

damaged wooden shelters and structures

compromised educational materials

left the school without electricity

Despite this, parents, teachers, and school leaders came together immediately, working side by side to clean, recover, and reuse whatever is still possible — with creativity, care, and respect for the school’s values.

What we are fundraising for

We are raising funds and accepting material donations for:

wood and structural beams

fence posts and protective netting

roofing materials and panels

hardware, tools, ladders and fixings

outdoor shelters and safe structures

Surplus construction materials, in-kind donations, or helpful contacts are deeply appreciated.

This amount will allow us to rebuild the essential infrastructure, ensuring children can safely return to their learning environment with continuity and stability.

Why this matters

Casa D’Árvore is:

a conscious educational space

a strong and supportive community

a visionary learning project

a place where children grow with nature, not apart from it

The storm took trees and structures —

but it did not take our community.

Every contribution helps us rebuild this place

board by board, roof tile by roof tile, together.

Thank you for donating, sharing, and helping us bring this school back to life!
