My name is Sianna, I'm 18 years old and newly graduated as of May 2025. I don't like asking strangers for money, but if you care for my situation or want to help, please read all of this. I am desperate. I know it is lengthy. I have been looking for employment for months now, not having any luck. I'm hoping to get people's attention using my TikTok platform despite having a small follower count. I am still applying to jobs in my area, but even if I were to get employed soon, it would take weeks to build enough money on my own for a vet visit, so here I am. If you have the empathy and the money to help, any amount would be greatly appreciated and will not go unnoticed.
My mother is currently sick with a dialysis infection and she is unable to work for another month, so I have no help in the home with this situation. My female cat June had four kittens, all of them being under a month old. They developed eye infections early in their life, and it is only getting worse. She is not new to motherhood, but we have never had to deal with her kittens getting sick. I'm not sure what they have or what caused it, but I know it needs to be treated and quickly. I plan on going into veterinary medicine in my future, but without a degree or income, I'm currently helpless to them. It hurts me to see them like this and all I'm able to do is help open their eyes when it crusts using a hot wet cotton pad. I don't know if it hurts them; I am gentle and slow, but they still cry during. I don't want to make them worse or watch them die. One of the kitten's right eye is red and appears that his vision is being affected. All of the other kittens just have milky white eye discharge that crusts their eyes closed, along with consistent sneezing and snot discharge. The kittens still play and eat as they should, but the one with the worst eye is distant from his siblings and seems low energy. I'm not an animal doctor and I don't know what these symptoms are really doing to their bodies, but I analyze them anyway. I'm not sure how much it would cost for the vet visit as well as treatment considering I have no knowledge on what's wrong with them, but I know it's going to be expensive and at least $800 according to research I've done. If you have any veterinary knowledge working in an animal field, I'm open to talking. If you can donate any amount, I am willing to take it. Please help these kittens; they deserve to have quality life and yes, I should have insurance and income, but as a new adult, I'm currently struggling and this was an unexpected predicament.
