One of my best friends in the world, Veronica Ashlee Elizabeth Greene, has been diagnosed with an aggressive Giant Cell Tumor throughout her femur, hip, and surrounding tissues.
The Tumor has spread outside of the bone moving it up into a more dangerous and critical category, and requiring a hip replacement type surgery, including removal of any possible tumor in surrounding tissue area with removal of any possibly affected bone, muscle and tissues. This is a very specialized surgery, and will be preformed by Dr Mathew Cheng at Farrer Park Hospital in Singapore (where Veronica is living and working). Dr Cheng is a leading pioneer in Asia for the Van Nes rotationplasty and in cryosurgery ablation for treatment of limb sarcomas which are the most complex surgical techniques.
The risk of cancer, giant cells in her neck or lungs and even amputation of the affected leg is a very real threat if she cannot get this surgery as soon as possible.
Veronica has been out unable to work for weeks already, due to the immense pain of this condition. She has exhausted her savings, and desperately needs our help.
