Hi everyone! My name is Kim and I am asking for your help to purchase a used car. My car broke down a few weeks ago. We found out the brakes went bad and that its going to cast about $1,700 to fix it. As it is a old car with other issues. I decided to but a "new" used car. I found a one for $2,000.

I moved to Michigan 15 years ago when my late husband Dennis Sr. was diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer he was getting treatment at U of M in Ann Arbor. Sadly he passed away 6 years ago. I feel lost without him and I miss him every single day.

I worked at a gas station in Whitmore Lake for 7 wonderful years and in September 2024 I had a spinal surgery it because I had a compressed spinal cord. In January I had a surgery on my left arm for a Ulta nerve damage. I also have Fibromyalgia. My health issues have made difficult to stand for a long period of time so unfortunately at the end of December, I had to quit my job. Last week I was very sick with influenza a and was admitted to the hospital. While there, doctor's problems many test due some other health issues such as coughing and shortness of breath. They found spots on my right lung. They found out I am in heart failure. I am still in the hospital waiting to find out what this all means. I know God will bring me through, as He always done.

I am currently carrying for my adult son Dennis Jr. who has Autism. We have separated for many years. Having him with me again has brought me so much joy! He is sweet, happy young man. He goes to a day program he absolutely loves, which has been such a blessing. Unfortunately he hasn't been able to go since I have been in the hospital and the car broke down.

Dennis and I do receive SSI but most of it goes to paying rent and utilities. (Heat has been very expensive this winter!) There is nothing left over to put in savings. We go to food banks to cut down on food expenses. but unfortunately, I need my car for that to.

Honestly, We are lost without a reliable vehicle. We need it to get food, go to doctor appointment, to get my son the the day program. I humbly ask for you help so I can purchase a used car.
