As some of you may know, I’ve been struggling with my health for the past few years. After a long fight for answers, I was finally diagnosed with endometriosis and adenomyosis—conditions that cause tumor-like growths throughout the pelvis. These growths bleed internally and, over time, caused severe adhesions that made my ovaries stick to my bowels. This led to chronic digestive issues, back pain, and daily discomfort.
 
On January 20, I underwent a life-changing surgery. Using the Da Vinci robotic system, my surgeon was able to make extremely precise cuts to remove deep lesions, polyps, and cysts from my ovaries, as well as carefully separate my organs. When I woke up from surgery, it genuinely felt like a brick had been removed from my pelvis.
 
Just one week later, the relief has been incredible. I’m now recovering using only Tylenol for post-surgery cramps—something that still feels unreal. Before this, I needed low-dose opioids just to function day to day.
 
The challenge is the cost. This surgery required many single-use medical items and specialized materials that are not fully covered by Taiwan’s national health insurance. Because endometriosis is such a difficult disease to treat, I chose this advanced surgical option to give myself the best chance at long-term relief. I was diagnosed with stage 3 out of 4 disease, and this procedure has effectively put me into remission.

In addition to the robotic surgery itself, my doctor used a special medication on my organs to prevent them from sticking together again—an important step, but also a costly one. I initially expected the bill to be around $6,000 USD, but with these added necessities, the final cost came to $8,000 USD (256,500 TWD).
 
Thanks to your generosity, I was able to cover half of the surgery costs. I’m hoping to raise the remaining amount so I can focus on healing and recovery, rather than pushing myself too hard or taking on too many hours too soon.
