My name is Jennifer, and I’m reaching out for help during one of the most challenging times of my life. On November 23, 2025, I broke my ankle. I live alone and recently started a new job in September, but unfortunately, my medical insurance doesn’t begin until January. My surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday and is considered urgent—waiting any longer could make things worse.

 Because I don’t have insurance yet, I’m considered a cash pay patient and simply can’t afford the cost of surgery and recovery on my own. I’ve applied for financial assistance through the hospital, but I haven’t received confirmation on coverage, and time is running out. The stress of not knowing how I’ll pay for this, on top of the pain and uncertainty, has been overwhelming.
