Dear Family, friends, acquaintances & whom ever this may touch.
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to share the urgent situation the Jasso family is facing and to seek your support during this challenging time.
Jose Jasso has been diagnosed with stage 4 kidney disease, and his current Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR) is critically low at 17. The doctors have informed us that he is rapidly approaching stage 5, where he will require dialysis. His insurance covers one transplant listing, but we have been advised that securing a second listing could significantly increase his chances of receiving a transplant. However, this process comes with an additional cost of $2,500 to $3,500.
As we navigate Jose's treatment plan, we will need to travel out of town for medical appointments, and there will be days where he will need my assistance at home. Unfortunately, missing work during this time will create a financial strain on our family.
We are also preparing to set him up with peritoneal dialysis, which requires a catheter to be placed in his abdomen for 1 to 3 months before treatment can begin. This marks the start of a new chapter in our lives, and we are committed to supporting Jose every step of the way.
If you would like to help or if you have any questions about his situation, please feel free to reach out to me. Any support, whether financial or emotional, would mean the world to our family during this difficult time.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message. Your kindness and support are greatly appreciated.
Warm regards
Jasso Family
