A Plea to Help Save a Father’s Life – Urgent Kidney Transplant for Dilhan Rajapakshe

I’m reaching out to you with a heavy heart on behalf of my childhood friend, Dilhan Rajapakshe, who is in desperate need of a second kidney transplant. At just 39 years old, Dilhan is fighting for his life again.

Nearly three years ago, he underwent a successful transplant that gave him a new lease on life. But tragically, his kidney is now being rejected. His consultant nephrologist has confirmed that he urgently needs a second transplant not just as a better option, but as his only chance to survive.

Dilhan lives in Sri Lanka, where he is currently on dialysis. While dialysis helps for now, his doctors have clearly warned that over time, it could do more harm than good. A transplant is the only way forward—and time is not on his side.

He is not just a patient—he is a father to a beautiful 9-year-old daughter who needs her dad to walk beside her through life. He’s already beaten the odds once. Now, he is reaching out for a third chance at life to keep fighting, to keep loving, and to keep being the dad, son, and friend we know him to be.
