<div>At the beginning of the genocide, Ali and his family were displaced from Nasser near Gaza City to Khan Younis for 3 weeks, then Rafah for 5 and a half months, and have now been in Deir Al-Balah for 6 months. "I lived the most difficult days of my life in the North of the strip due to starvation and the siege".

<div>Today, Ali is responsible for his 3 sisters (Eman, Nour and Baraa), his little brother (Mahmoud) and his mother Sanaa. "Here in the South, me and my family members live in a tent that does not protect us from the heat of summer nor the cold of winter".

<div>Gaza is facing a genocide and unprecedented humanitarian crisis that grows worse by the day. Access to basic necessities is difficult, due to the blocking of humanitarian aid. The lack of aid access has had devastating effects for the people of Gaza, who have endured critical food insecurity and face the prospect of famine (British Red Cross, 2024).

<div>Ali and his family need your help to access basic necessities due to blockades and thus scarcity.

<div>Food: Currently, prices are extremely high e.g. 74 CAD for flour (it's about 5$ here) and a litre of corn oil is 18.56 CAD (also 5$ here). Clothes: Clothes are important as winter is coming. Temperatures can reach 8°C and rain events are frequent, and tents are not effective insulators.

<div>Health: Ali's mother has a muscle tear and requires treatment, such as a radiography, which is costly.
