<div>The storms of late January and early February caused significant damage to our property, including a large landslide that insurance will not cover, leaving us to pay out of pocket. The picture shown is prior to further slippage. We invested our savings into this house, leaving us with nothing to spare. The land needs to be stabilized, the outbuilding and pergola require demolition, the main house has settling damage, and the patio needs replacement. Given our location on a high hill, the repair costs are nearly as much as the home’s value, and we don't have enough equity to cover them.

<div>As seniors, taking on substantial debt is not feasible for us. We may have to walk away from the property, as selling it in its current condition would be difficult. While renting elsewhere is an option, this is the home we planned to stay in. My husband, a retired police officer and veteran (Special Forces, Ranger, Airborne), has worked his entire life. Despite battling a long-term illness, he still works in our office. The stress of this situation landed him in the hospital last week.

<div>Crowdfunding was never something we envisioned, but it seems to be our only option to try and stay in our home. Any assistance you can provide, even a few dollars, would mean the world to us. Thank you for considering our situation and helping us keep our property
