 On 16 June, after years of promises and just before the plans were due to expire, Ku-ring-gai Council voted to allow the approved architectural plans for Marian St Theatre to expire.
</div>

 Those plans disappear this Thursday unless we raise $100,000 to preserve them. The funding is needed for urgent works to preserve the planning approval, and Thursday is the last day Council can call an Extraordinary General Meeting in time to save it.

 If the plans are lost:

 • 13 years of community campaigning will be undone.
</div>
<div>
 • $1.7 million of public investment in planning and design will be wasted.
</div>

 • Marian St Theatre is likely to never be reopened.

 Preserving the plans keeps alive the only realistic opportunity to reopen Marian St Theatre within the next 3-5 years. Starting again would require a completely new planning process, adding over a decade more of delay, if it ever reopens. No alternative performing arts venue is planned for the area.
