<div>My name is Daniel Klindworth, and I'm starting this on behalf of two close friends of mine who have been like family to me: <strong>Melanie Caffrey and her husband, David Caffrey</strong>.

<div>The two have had a rough patch recently, the latest in a string of unfortunate events. They live in the Tampa area, Florida, which this year especially has been hit hard by torrential rains this summer, on top of the recent hurricanes.

<div>The main reason for this fundraiser is for <strong>repairs to their home's roof and ceiling</strong>. David has severely damaged lungs from a fire that destroyed their home back in 2015. As such, he is unable to work due to his disability. His wife is his primary caretaker, and the two have been struggling to pay for this roof repair since the passing of her father last year, who lived with them and often assisted with maintenance of their home.

<div><strong>The damaged roof presents a serious health hazard to both Melanie and David, but especially to David.</strong>

<div>If they can replace the roof, the internal ceiling issues will dry out, and things can be repaired and sealed by Melanie as needed.

<div>The funds will be used to contract someone who can replace the roof of their home, with minimal cost estimated to be around the goal after factoring in cost of materials and labor.
</div>
