URGENT: Please Help Anissa and Mossimo

Horse friends and animal lovers, I’m reaching out to ask for your help for a fellow equestrian, Anissa Butler, who’s going through every horse owner’s worst nightmare.

While driving to a lesson Saturday morning, a car pulled out in front of Anissa’s truck and trailer, forcing her to swerve off the road to avoid a collision. In the chaos, her beloved horse, Mossimo, was severely injured—his leg went through the emergency door, causing a devastating wound.

Far from home and in desperate need of care, Anissa managed to call a friend with a farm nearby who brought out an emergency vet to stabilize Mossimo. This brave boy then loaded back onto the trailer and was transported two hours to New Bolton Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery.

Mossimo isn’t just any horse—he’s as kind as he is beautiful, and a cherished member of Anissa’s life. But as you can imagine, the unexpected costs of this emergency are overwhelming. Anissa, who has always been there for our horse community is now in need of our help.
