Urgent Plea for Fredis Care

We have created this page as a last resort to help our friend Fredi receive urgent medical care and to be able to get her back to the UK to her parents safely. Myself and amy are close friends of Fredi's (real name Frederika) as we grew up in the same home town. Fredi then moved to Australia about a year and a half ago and Amy moved to New Zealand around the same time. We hadn't seen eachother since so we planned the trip of a lifetime, travelling around Asia for our reunion. Unfortunately whilst in Cambodia we ran into crisis and Fredi became ill. She has a condition of unknown cause which is affecting her brain and needs further diagnostic testing and treatment. We are currently in Cambodia and the treatment she requires is only available in Thailand, for which she will have to travel in an air ambulance with medical staff. She has been in hospital for 2 nights now and her condition is worsening without the appropriate medical care. The problem we are faced with is that her insurance will not cover the costs and the hospital will not move her to Thailand without full payment of her medical fees which are currently sitting around $3000 USD and increasing with every minute she is in hospital, alongside the payment for the air
ambulance and staff which has been totalled at $16,500. We appreciate that we are unlikely to reach this target but every donation is a step closer. We have been in contact with the British embassy for help and as us and her parents are unable to scrape together the costs this is a last resort as a plea for help.
