My father has been living in Laos for years, but recently, everything collapsed. He has no income, no savings, and no home. Right now, he is living in a small hotel room with nowhere to go, on the brink of homelessness.

The worst part? This wasn’t supposed to happen.

He was misled. Some so-called friends promised him a stable job and a place to live if he relocated across Laos. Trusting them, he left everything behind, only to arrive and realize there was no job, no home—nothing. He had been abandoned. Stranded in a foreign country, with no backup plan and nowhere to turn, he quickly ran out of money and options.

But here’s the thing about my father—he is far from perfect. He has always been independent, stubborn, and, at times, selfish. He lived life on his own terms, sometimes making choices that put himself first.

But despite this, he has also been honest and generous in his own way. Even when he had little, he found ways to help others. He never thought he’d be in a position where he’d have to ask for help—but life has a way of humbling us all.

To make matters worse, his health is declining, and he has no access to medical care. And while he struggles to survive, his mother—my grandmother—is in Germany, suffering from severe dementia. She barely remembers the world around her, but she still asks about her son.

We now have LESS THAN TWO WEEKS to get him home before he loses everything. If we don’t act fast, he may not make it out in time.

He needs to go home. Not just for her, but for himself.

We Need to Raise €8,000

I know €8,000 a big ask, but this isn’t just about a plane ticket—it’s about making sure my father has a safe place to land and the basic support he needs to get back on his feet.

The cost of his flight alone is around €800-€1,500, but once he’s in Germany, he will still have no home, no income, and no immediate resources while he waits for state support.

The money raised will go toward:

A plane ticket to Germany (€800-€1,500) – His lifeline home.

Temporary housing (€2,000–€3,000) – He cannot stay with his mother, as she is homebound and relies on a caregiver in a space that is not equipped for him. He will need a safe place to stay while he finds stability.

Food & basic necessities (€1,000–€1,500) – He will need money for meals and essentials while transitioning.

Medical check-ups & transportation (€1,000–€1,500) – He is dealing with health issues and will need urgent check-ups, medication, and funds to get to appointments.

A small emergency fund (€1,000–€1,500) – To cover unexpected costs and ensure he doesn’t immediately fall into crisis while waiting for government aid.

Every euro helps bring him one step closer to safety, stability, and a second chance.

If we can raise at least €5,000, it will cover his flight and first month in Germany. Any additional funds will go toward ensuring he has food, transportation, and medical care.
