MAD Cats is an all-volunteer organization passionate about serving the community and domestic cats in our area. Recently, they assisted in a devastating hoarding situation of over 50 cats and kittens in horrendous conditions. Left for dead, these helpless animals were surviving in absolute filth and extremely unsafe living conditions. Many were sick or injured, and most will need urgent medical attention. Amongst the 50 cats and kittens saved, we found a nursing mother cowered in the corner of a closet. The kittens are approximately 3.5 weeks old, the smallest weighing only 3.5 oz. At this point, we are just hoping the two littlest make it. They've been receiving 30-minute bottle feedings, and mom's getting IV fluids to help her gain strength. Several cats had such terrible URIs that had been left untreated for so long that they aren't even able to open their eyes.

We want to continue getting these cats the care they desperately need so they can finally be adopted into homes with people who love and will care for them, like they so much deserve. They have been through so much already.
