The masjid of Islamic Center of Puget Sound experienced a really difficult time June of 2018. The landlord of the property they were renting from informed them that they had to leave. This congregation has long been divided, which led to nearby mosques being overpopulated especially during Friday prayers where folks are praying outside.
The board of this masjid has been working to secure and reconstruct a space (please see video as it shows the beautiful dedication/progression of masjid) - and is in DIRE need of funds to pay incoming bills. Our goal barely covers the cost but we know it will relieve our hard working members of some financial burden. They should not suffer the hardship of putting together a masjid for the community alone while also paying for the construction of it too. IT IS OUR JOB AS A COMMUNITY TO LEND A HAND!
THE GOAL IS $20,000!!!!!!! WE WANT TO MAKE THIS AS REASONABLE AS POSSIBLE!!!!
WE NEED 2000 PEOPLE TO DONATE $10!!!! THAT IS ALL!!! HELP US IN SPREADING THE WORD BUT FIRST, BY DONATING FOR THE SAKE OF ALLAH SWT. We have set the amount as 10000 here because there are other sites we are raising funds on as well. (Please see below)
Allah the Almighty, explains to us in multiple verses of the beloved Quran the importance of charity. One of which: "Those who in charity spend of their goods by night and by day, in secret and in public, have their reward with their Lord: on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve" (2:274).
Please be from those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah. For we swear, this will be of the good deeds that follow us long after we are buried six feet in the ground.
